Smudges Eco Bentonite Lavender Scented Clumping Cat Litter is designed to make everyday litter-box maintenance more convenient. Made with bentonite clay, it absorbs moisture and forms clumps that can be removed during routine cleaning. Its lavender fragrance adds a scented option for cat owners who prefer a fragranced litter tray.
The clumping format helps separate soiled litter from the unused material, making daily scooping easier. The Smudges Eco Cat range is also promoted for low dust and odour control, although actual performance can depend on litter-box conditions, cleaning frequency and the cat's habits.
Add the litter to a clean, dry tray according to the package directions. Remove soiled clumps regularly and replenish the litter as needed. Keep the bag sealed in a dry place, and monitor your cat when introducing a scented product, as some cats may be sensitive to fragrances.

Smudges Eco Bentonite Lavender Scented Clumping Cat Litter is a bentonite-based litter designed for use in a cat's litter tray. It combines moisture absorption and clumping with a lavender fragrance. The clumping format helps separate soiled litter from clean material during daily scooping. Follow the package instructions for filling, cleaning and replacing the litter.
The product is identified as bentonite cat litter, a clay-based material commonly used in clumping litter products. Bentonite absorbs moisture and forms clumps that can be removed from the tray. This makes routine cleaning more convenient than removing all the litter after every use. Check the package for any additional ingredients or material details specific to this variant.
Yes, this variant is marketed as lavender scented. The fragrance provides a floral scent for households that prefer scented cat litter. However, individual cats can respond differently to fragranced products, and some may find added scents unpleasant. Introduce it gradually and switch to an unscented option if your cat avoids the tray or shows signs of discomfort.
Yes, the product is marketed as clumping bentonite cat litter. When the litter absorbs liquid, the affected material forms clumps that can be lifted out with a litter scoop. Removing these clumps regularly helps keep the remaining litter cleaner between full tray changes. Actual clumping performance can depend on the depth of litter used and how promptly the tray is cleaned.
Smudges promotes its Eco Cat litter range for odour control. The bentonite material absorbs moisture and forms clumps that can be removed, helping with routine litter-box hygiene. Regular scooping and keeping the tray clean remain important for managing unpleasant smells. The lavender fragrance adds scent but should not be treated as a substitute for removing soiled litter.
The Smudges Eco Cat range is marketed as low dust, but I could not verify a numerical dust rating for this specific variant. Dust levels can affect both the cleanliness of the surrounding area and comfort for cats or people sensitive to airborne particles. Pour the litter carefully and avoid creating unnecessary dust clouds. If your cat has respiratory sensitivities, ask your veterinarian whether scented clay litter is appropriate.
Pour the litter into a clean, dry tray, following the depth or filling guidance on the package. Scoop out urine and faeces regularly, removing the formed clumps without discarding all the clean litter each time. Top up the tray as needed and clean it periodically according to your usual hygiene routine. Wash your hands after handling used litter and keep the product away from children.
Remove faeces and soiled clumps at least daily, or more frequently if needed. Regular scooping helps maintain a cleaner tray and reduces the build-up of unpleasant smells. Replace the litter and wash the tray according to the product instructions and your cat's usage. Homes with multiple cats may require more frequent cleaning and more than one litter tray.
The product listing identifies it as cat litter, but I could not verify a specific age recommendation for this lavender-scented variant. Kittens may be more likely to investigate or ingest litter, so suitability should be checked before use. Follow the manufacturer's age and safety guidance on the package. Ask your veterinarian if you are unsure which litter type is suitable for your kitten.
Clumping litter can be used in households with more than one cat, provided there are enough clean litter trays and they are maintained regularly. The amount used and how often it needs replenishing will depend on the number of cats and their habits. Monitor whether every cat is comfortable with the lavender fragrance and litter texture. If one cat avoids the tray, consider a separate tray with an unscented litter.
Keep the bag in a cool, dry place and protect it from moisture. Bentonite litter is intended to absorb liquid, so keeping unused litter dry helps preserve its condition before use. Seal the package after opening to reduce exposure to humidity and prevent spills. Store it safely away from children, food and areas where pets could accidentally ingest it.
Do not flush bentonite clay litter down the toilet. The clay absorbs liquid and expands or clumps, which can contribute to blocked pipes. Remove used clumps with a scoop and dispose of them according to local waste-disposal rules and the packaging instructions. Avoid putting used litter into drains, sinks or toilets, even when the clumps appear small.
Retailer listings show a 20 kg pack for this product. However, the size currently offered on Fifozone should be checked directly because online listings and stock can change. Confirm the displayed pack weight before adding the item to your cart. A larger bag may reduce how often you need to reorder, but ensure you have a suitable dry storage space.
No single litter type or fragrance is ideal for every cat. Some cats accept lavender-scented litter, while others prefer an unscented product or a different texture. When introducing a new litter, observe whether your cat continues to use the tray normally. If your cat begins avoiding the tray or shows signs of irritation, stop using the product and consult your veterinarian if symptoms continue.
